Seems that the whole personal computing/web apps thing is gathering momentum. I have mentioned it a few times recently:

Now we have reports that open office is available online in some form: OpenOffice online with Ulteo « HeyJude

to me this is a logical place of OpenOffice to sit and would make a big difference to the strength of the case for web based apps. Be interesting to see how it works given that traditionally it has had a big java footprint.
