At some point hopefully in the not too distant future I’ll post up some samples of video projects which have been done at Click.
Video Software : Squared 5
I recently found this software called Squared 5 It allows you to open up a DVD and extract the video and audio files from it. You have several file format choices and I have learned the following :-
On our Apple Mac computer : DVD Studio Pro ( Version 3 ) recognises
- Demuxed Headed M2v and Aiff
- Demuxed MC2 and Aiff
Final Cut Pro ( Version 4.5HD ) recognises the following formats on the timeline once they have been rendered.
- Convert to MPEG
- Convert to MPEG with Audio
- Demuxed Headed MC2
- Demuxed MC2 and Aiff
- Export to Quicktime using FCP uncompressed codec
- Export to Quicktime using the cinewave codec created a wavy distorted video image in Final Cut Pro.
Final Cut Pro had problems with
- Demuxed Unscaled crashed Final Cut Pro when it was dragged on to the timeline.
- Export to Quicktime using the cinewave codec created a wavy distorted video image.
On my PC laptop : Pinnacle Studio ( Version 10.5 ) the following options worked.
- Convert to MPEG
- Convert to MPEEG with Audio
Pinnacle Studio didn’t recognise aiff files.
