Technical Specification
Computer Hardware
The edit suite has an Apple Mac G4 1 Ghz DP, 1.5 Gb RAM running OSX Panther. The computer is connected to two LaCie Electron 22″ Blue III monitors.
Software
The edit suite uses Apple Final Cut Pro 4.5 HD software for video editing and Apple DVD Studio Pro 3 for DVD authoring.
Video Hardware
Targa cinewave video card connected to a Targa Digital Breakout Box and a Targa Analogue Breakout Box. There is a USB to RS422 adaptor to allow remote control of the video deck.
Hard Disks
The main video drive is a Cheetah Hard Drive Array Model DS100-4-160/B 4 x 36 GB 10,000 RPM The Apple Mac has an ATTO Ultra 160 SCSI Raid Controller Card installed. The computer also has 4 internal hard drives installed, two for DVD projects, one for audio and one for software.
Video Deck
Sony DSR1500AP DVCAM Digital Video Recorder. The deck can play DVCAM and MiniDV tapes. The deck has a SDI digital interface card installed to allow uncompressed digital video transfer.
Video Monitoring
The edit suite is connected to a JVC TMA-1010 Field Monitor.
Audio Monitoring
A pair of Edirol MA-10A Speakers.
